External Relations Administrator - Southeast Asia - Bangkok

You will join the External Relations Team in the Bangkok office.

What you’ll do

As External Relations Administrator, you would provide administrative support to the 6 offices in McKinsey’s Southeast Asia complex.

The individual will work closely with the Head of External Relations for Southeast Asia and the regional team to build McKinsey’s reputation in Southeast Asia, focusing on McKinsey’s offices in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. You would need handle data management - ensure all client contact databases are kept up to date and relevant, including database cleanup and calling offices of clients and potential clients to capture updated contact information.  

In terms of media coordination, you would need to track and record media coverage of relevance and performing some analysis of media trends; scheduling time for interviews of partners and spokespersons. 

You would also be assisting with logistics preparations for events, including liaison with venues, managing invitations and RSVP lists, manage databases post-event and event management tools. Some of the administrative duties would include– assisting with maintaining and archiving External Relations efforts in the region, assisting with invoices and legal documents, assist with maintaining and updating External Relations event calendar and tracking various engagements. 

In Internal communications, you would need to upload content onto the newsletter, format newsletters and handle  administrative management of various other internal pieces as well as take on other ad hoc responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time. 
 

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experience as marketing assistant in a global organization 
  • Some college or secretarial school; University degree preferably in the field of social sciences, communications or business
  • High level of proficiency in English, and strong communications skills in both written and verbal communications
  • Strong events management skills and a track record of successfully executing complicated programs with speed, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft office, particularly Excel.
  • Demonstrates high professional standards and work ethic. 
  • Open, high-integrity, collaborative professional able to build credibility within and outside of his/her team. 
  • Self-motivated, responsive, responsible, and results oriented. 
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills. 
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Self–motivated with an appetite for working independently and being functionally effective within a fast-paced professional services environment.
  • Flexible and able to manage conflicting demands; possess a positive attitude.
