One of the McKinsey Solutions is Advanced Analytics in Insurance. With a concise library of ready to deploy use cases for advanced analytic applications along the entire value chain in Insurance, such as reducing fraud in underwriting, or reducing churn by predictive modelling, the solution has been very successful in the United States and is now being rolled out in Europe. The Solution Manager is a pivotal role within the Advanced Analytics in Insurance solution. It requires the ability to translate analytics into business impact. The Solution Manager is responsible for the final delivery of the client service and manages the team and leverages all knowledge and expertise of the firm. Furthermore, the solution manager works closely with the Head of Advanced Analytics in Insurance Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) to advance the strategic aims of the solution as well as contribute to knowledge development.
As a Solution Manager you will be responsible for delivering the client service (75%) by managing the team that delivers the service in collaboration with other client service team members (up to 10 people). You will be sourcing required delivery resources from internal teams and/or external partners, ensuring quality of delivery through, sound interpretation of model results, good project management, project planning, progress tracking, problem solving and issue escalation.
You will also be busy with solution development (15%) by contributing to service delivery strategy (e.g., give input to new feature development, capture client feedback), contributing to infrastructure development and codification of methodologies and processes (together with Solution Leadership and MSO Operations).
Your other responsibility will be supporting client development (10%), supporting the proposal delivery process (e.g. in client meetings or through demos). You will be fostering client relationship as an account manager, gathering feedback, solving larger issues, monitoring usage and impact.
