Americas Consumer - Junior Research Analyst - Costa Rica
Who you’ll work with

You'll work with the Americas Consumer team in San Jose, Costa Rica as part of our Knowledge Network.

Our global knowledge network includes more than 1,800 knowledge professionals who work alongside our consultants and clients to generate distinctive insights and proprietary knowledge. You will work with this group to help develop, codify, sanitize, and manage our global knowledge portal, which includes more than 50,000 documents that form the backbone of our firm's knowledge management.
 

What you’ll do

As a Junior Research Analyst you will help support client service teams (CSTs) by working with them to understand, disaggregate and prioritize their research needs. Leverage broad industry knowledge and sources to efficiently collect, summarize and synthesize the relevant facts. Deliver this information to teams via well-structured end products. Internal data management and support in the codification of knowledge are expected to be part of the role for the successful candidate. You will also support ongoing internal efforts to organize and codify our internal knowledge and documents: Work closely with research team colleagues on collecting and codifying the existent base of knowledge currently present in our team
 

Qualifications
  • Natural intellectual curiosity and passion for continuous learning, an interest in business and economic topics, strong problem-solving and exceptional analytical abilities, excellent competency in the English language and the ability to adapt to multicultural teams and environments.
  • Ability to interact with consultants and knowledge colleagues with a problem-solving mindset and with excellent communication skills
  • Strong service orientation, including a “can-do” attitude and the desire to work on different types and lengths of projects, with the flexibility to operate in an evolving environment
  • Ability to creatively retrieve, summarize and present complex information, including excellent search skills on web sources and electronic databases. Necessary training can be provided
  • Desire to work as a highly collaborative team player, with colleagues in Costa Rica and other Americas locations including Sao Paulo and Chicago, while also having a strong ability to work independently as part of our geographically dispersed team
  • Bachelor Degree completed from a respected institution with strong records of academic achievement
  • An ability to articulate an interest or passion for the Consumer Goods/Retail industry
  • Work experience in a business research-related position or experience in CPG/retail /marking company is a plus, but not required
  • Work or academic experience in respect to the Brazilian market is welcomed
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese languages
