Who you’ll work with

You’ll work with our the McKinsey New Ventures Office of the CTO TechOps in New York or Chicago office..

TechOps provides Support and Hosting Services to McKinsey Solutions. This includes Helpdesk (first-level support and configuration operations) and Hosting services (second-level support, Cloud infrastructure buildout, Infra advisory services, infrastructure operations). TechOps is currently supporting 40+ SaaS products and 40000+ end users.

What you’ll do

As a Technical Operations Manager, you will manage a portfolio of our Solutions, providing clear communication to all channels.  Current experience serving TechOps for SaaS products, operations management, customer success, end-user facing service, implementation and project management.

You’ll be working on multiple projects with varied solutions so will need to have strong project management skills. You will be a personal contact point for senior solution leaders offering first level advisory services to these internal clients. You will need to know when something needs escalating, how to manage a variety situations and be comfortable managing finance and budgets.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure and Support environment / processes
  • Outstanding project and process management skills 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Superb client service skills with both creative and analytical mindset
  • Be of mature disposition and personable, and able to work well within teams across continents/time-zones
  • Highly collaborative, yet able to function well independently 
  • Creative problem solver and natural entrepreneur; comfort with ambiguity
  • Can handle both technical and business aspects of hosting and support
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services is a plus
  • Pragmatic approach / Solution minded
  • Top notch security and confidentiality standards
  • 5 - 10 years of experience combining both TechOps and Project Management
