Who you’ll work with

McKinsey Global Purchasing and Real Estate (GPRE) group is responsible for bringing value to and managing the Firm’s expenditures specifically related to Global Travel Services (GTS), Real Estate (RE), Meeting Planning Services (MPS), and Global Procurement Group (GPG).

What you’ll do

Within McKinsey Global Purchasing and Real Estate team, our Business Analytics team is primarily responsible for reporting on  McKinsey’s global indirect spend through spend rationalization; vendor consolidation and leverage of global footprint to positively impact the Firm’s financial at the office, region and global level. The Senior Analyst role is key to the success of this team.

Provides analytical support to GPRE function(s) across a broad range of areas. Specific responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): 

  • Deliver solutions-based strategies and conduct project analysis for savings opportunities utilizing real estate and travel data
  • Synthesize real estate data and share findings with team, cells, and Firm leaders for projects and office/location strategic studies
  • Review travel-related policy and spend data; provide routine reporting, opportunities for optimization,  and ongoing trend analysis   
  • Monitor travel-related spend data for accuracy, consistency, policy adherence, and spend outliers. Identify the appropriate data to evaluate travel spend, including existing needs and new areas for review
  • Uses industry knowledge to develop insightful dashboards and reports

Required Experience and Education:

  • 4 year university degree, preferably in finance field
  • 4 years of relevant professional experience in Travel2
  • High degree of mastery of MS Office skills ( i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access)
  • Specialized functional knowledge as relevant 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective multitasking ability

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
