Who you’ll work with

The Support Event Manager is a strategic role in the IT Support Unit located in our Prague office. The role has a global scope and the professional will be responsible for leading a team of IT experts and on-site event support technicians to ensure smooth execution of high-profile McKinsey events and meetings up to 3000 participants.The manager will collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g. requestors, IT support groups, meeting planning services,  technicians, supplies management), external technology vendors and counterparts in other regions.The manager will take a full ownership for the quality of the service and make sure the team provides distinctive, professional service to McKinsey colleagues, partners and client representatives.

What you’ll do

As IT Event Support Manager you will drive continuous improvement, collect feedback and develop a comprehensive global event support service, tools and strategy. S/he is expected to come up with new or improved ways of design and delivery of event services, explore / implement the latest technologies and applications, and provide innovative solutions tailored to stakeholder’s needs.  The manager will provide also an effective and inspiring leadership to a small team of on-site colleagues. S/he will give a direction to the team and event planners to ensure the best fitting technological solution for the specific event while following the best practises, procedures and leveraging out of the box thinking. As the manager s/he should foresee and resolve IT support needs throughout the cycle of the event as well as ensure appropriate IT staffing and lead  on-site support team based on the event. S/he will track overall IT cost / spend and provide regular reports to the IT Service Manager. S/he you will develop expert knowledge level in Events tools and products and train team members.

  • Previous experience in leading a team and managing projects 
  • Ability to travel at short notice and work extended business hours as needed
