Who you’ll work with

You’ll work with our Risk practice in Milan, Italy. This global practice supports clients in many different industries facing challenges of developing and implementing tailored concepts for risk recognition, measurement, and control.

What you’ll do

You will focus on insurance risk projects, involving problem solving on a wide range of risk-related issues in the insurance industry.

You’ll work in teams of typically 3 – 5 consultants, playing an active role in all aspects of client engagement. This includes assist client teams in understanding and quantifying risk exposures, evaluating risk strategies, and building and maintaining risk models by being staffed full-time on one engagement or providing ad-hoc assistance to several engagements.

You will use your expertise in risk management to contribute to the success of our international clients and work as a member of project teams on site. As part of our international network, you will also expand your network of internal and external experts worldwide and work with them on internal projects to develop our risk management know-how.

The scope of this role ranges from developing new concepts to implementing proprietary tools. The wide variety of challenges will give you many ways to expand and sharpen your own knowledge. In addition, we also offer a wealth of other opportunities for further professional development.

  • Undergraduate or master’s degree in economics, business, mathematics, or physics
  • Outstanding record of academic achievement
  • 3+ years of professional experience in risk management in insurance, particularly in Solvency II, financial, operational, and ALM/market risk
  • Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and the local office language(s)
  • Willingness to travel
