Part-Time Research Assistant - EEMA - Moscow
Who you’ll work with

You’ll join McKinsey’s Knowledge Network in Moscow. You’ll be part of our global knowledge network, which includes more than 1,800 knowledge professionals who work alongside our consultants and clients to generate distinctive insights and proprietary knowledge. You will work with this group to help develop, codify, sanitize, and manage our global knowledge portal, which includes more than 50,000 documents that form the backbone of our firm's knowledge management.

What you’ll do

You will support our researchers in a variety of projects by deriving insights from business information on various industries in Russia and CIS markets.

You will help the team with a wide range of research tasks in various topics, from collecting market statistics to market modelling and developing perspectives on a variety of issues that are relevant to clients. You’ll receive coaching and advice from experienced researchers with deep knowledge in various industries. You will also be able to set the flexible working schedule that fits your needs.

Your work will be multifaceted and exciting, and you will gain insights into many industries and topics. In project work and in exchanges with colleagues, you will deal with new intellectual challenges daily as well as build your industry and functional knowledge on an ongoing basis. Upon successful completion of this work, you will be offered an opportunity to pursue a full-time position with the Moscow office Research team, which offers a clearly defined career path and continuous learning opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Minimum a 3rd year student with an excellent academic record
  • Able to work at least 20 hours per week and come to the office on a short notice when necessary
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy
  • Experience with the collection, analysis and synthesis of information and knowledge
  • Strong analytical mindset and numerical skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and an investigative mind
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and the local office language(s)
